Prep time: 15 minutes
Cook time: about 45 minutes
Serving size: 1 meatball
Yield: about 12-15 meatballs

APPETIZERS, SIDE DISHES

Ingredients

Sauce: Mama’s Marinara

● ½ cup Magical Olive Oil
● 28 ounces (1 can) Marzano Tomatoes
● ½ cup Italian style chicken broth
● 2 tablespoons tomato paste
● 1 large onion, diced
● 4-6 cloves garlic, minced
● 2 tablespoons garlic salt
● 1 bunch fresh basil
● Salt and pepper to taste

MeatBalls

● ½ cup Magical Olive Oil, plus ⅓ cup for frying
● 1 pound 90% lean ground beef
● 8 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded
● 1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
● ½ cup Pecorino Romano cheese, freshly grated
● 2 tablespoons dried Italian herbs
● 1 tablespoon dried basil
● 1 tablespoon granulated garlic
● 6-8 large garlic cloves, chopped
● 2 eggs, whipped
● 1 onion, caramelized and diced
● Salt and pepper to taste

How-to

Sauce

1. Place all the sauce ingredients inside your MagicalButter machine, and secure the lid.
2. Press the Temperature button, and select 130°F.
3. Press the 2 Hours/Butter button. When ready, use in Step 8 below.

MeatBalls

1. Using your fingers, firmly press the shredded mozzarella into 12-14 balls about 1 inch in diameter. Refrigerate them on a plate while you create the meatballs.
2. In a large bowl, add the ground beef, caramelized onion, eggs, Pecorino Romano, Italian herbs, granulated garlic, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, ½ cup Magical Olive Oil, and dried basil. Then, using your hands, mix thoroughly until everything is completely blended.
3. Scoop a 3-inch ball of the meat mixture (about ⅓ cup) into your palm. Using your thumb, form a depression in the center to receive a mozzarella ball.
4. After inserting the cheese ball, close the meat around it completely. Repeat with the rest of the meat mixture and cheese balls.
5. Place an extra large sauté pan on medium heat for about 45 seconds. Add ⅓ cup of Magical Olive Oil, and heat for 45-60 seconds.
6. Slowly add meatballs one at a time, leaving a little space around them.
7. Cook until the meatballs are a rich, golden brown, turning them regularly to prevent burning. Set those aside, and repeat the cooking process with the remaining meatballs.
8. Add the sauce from your MagicalButter pitcher to the pan, and stir thoroughly to coat all the meatballs. Cover the pan, and let it simmer for 30 minutes.
Plate your Medicated Meatballs with Mama’s Marinara, garnish with freshly chopped basil and grated Romano, and enjoy! Molto delizioso!

Here’s how to make the ‘perfect’ infused berry parfait. Click on ‘SHOW MORE’ for recipe ingredients and cooking instructions.

Recipe Ingredients:

– ½ cup Magical Tincture
– ¼ cup Magical Coconut Oil
– 3 cups plain yogurt
– 2 cups blackberries
– 2 cups red raspberries
– 8 ounces sugar
– ½ cup granola
– ¼ cup orange liqueur
– ¼ cup agave nectar
– 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Baking cooking instructions:

1) In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the Magical Coconut Oil and yogurt until well mixed.
2) Carefully pour the Magical Tincture into a small saucepan over medium heat. (NOTE: Do not leave the pan unattended. Be extra careful—ethanol and its vapor are HIGHLY FLAMMABLE.) Boil off most of the alcohol until the consistency is that of molasses, creating MagicalButterOil (MBO).
3) Add the orange liqueur, agave nectar, and vanilla extract to the MBO. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly.
4) Add the blackberries and sugar, and cook until the sugar is fully incorporated, stirring constantly to prevent sticking. Congratulations! 5) You have created Infused Blackberry Compote.
In a parfait glass, add 2 dollops of yogurt, 6-8 raspberries, 1 tablespoon of the blackberry compote, another 2 dollops of yogurt, another tablespoon of compote, a sprinkle of granola, and top it off with a raspberry or two. Mmm! Oui oui, c’est parfait!

Cannabutter is a primary ingredient in many cannabis-infused recipes or edibles. Click on ‘SHOW MORE’ for recipe instructions.

Cycle time: 2 hours
Yield: Approximately 2-5 cups

Recipe Ingredients:

• ¼-½ ounce botanicals per cup*, decarbed
• 2-5 cups unsalted butter, softened; for best results, clarified**
• 1 tablespoon lecithin per cup***

Important:

• Minimum capacity is 2 cups. Maximum capacity 5 cups.
• Do not use margarine or water.

Cooking instructions:

1. Place the ingredients inside your MagicalButter machine, and secure the lid.*
2. Press the Temperature button, and select 160°F; then, press the 2 Hours/Butter button. (For a more intense infusion of flavor and nutrients, instead select 4 hours.)
3. After the cycle is complete, unplug the unit at the outlet, and remove the head of the appliance. Put on your LoveGlove cooking glove, and pour the pitcher contents slowly through a Purify filter into formed molds or other storage container.

Chef’s Notes

*For best results do not pre-grind botanicals. Adjust botanical weight according to personal preference.

**For optimal extractions and maximum potency, based on extensive kitchen trials, our chef now recommends clarifying your butter before adding it to the pitcher. To clarify, gently melt and simmer the butter, discard the milk solids and surface foam, and retain the clear golden liquified butterfat. You can also skip clarifying and simply use melted or softened butter. Do not use cold, firm butter.

***Lecithin is optional but highly recommended. Lecithin is an emulsifier used in cooking and in the pharmaceutical industry for binding ingredients in lipids (butter, oils, and fats). It helps to increase the bioavailability of plant compounds in your high-lipid infusions, intensifying the potency of the resulting extracts. Lecithin can be made from soy, sunflower, rice, or egg yolk. It is available at your local health-food or vitamin store in the form of powder, granules, or liquid. Any type is sufficient except in capsules, because they contain too many binders and fillers. Soy lecithin powder is processed to eliminate compounds that may have estrogen-like effects. Lecithin granules are made from soy powder mixed with soy oil, so they may contain estrogen-like compounds. Because liquid lecithin is three times as potent as powder or granules (it’s also three times as messy), use only 1 teaspoon per cup of butter or oil for your extractions.

Thanks to the Rick and Morty season three premiere that aired on April 1, the internet is up in arms over a dipping sauce from 1998. Nobody seemed to miss the obscure sauce until Rick, the series’ mad scientist main character, travels back to 1998 and gets the Szechuan sauce at a McDonald’s drive-thru. At the end of the episode, he pleads for McDonald’s to bring back the sauce. Our recipe is infused with coconut oil, so it’s even more magical.
